Wow. Done. TechEd Amsterdam was great fun as each year (the partying was a bit less excessive than Barcelona last year, but Forte wasn't here so that explains a lot) and thanks to a great audience who liked my content, I got some really awesome scores this year. I have a couple of pictures and stories to blog, but I will give myself a day to settle in at home. I am really glad that we're now entering the rather quiet summer time. No travel for the next weeks. Goodness.

Ah, if you happen to have pictures of the "The Nerd, The Suit, and The Fortune Teller" session, it would be great if you could share a copy with me or send me a link if you put them anywhere on the web. Haven't seen any so far. That session was a lot of fun for Pat, Rafal and myself.

Hi, here (http://www.t-kramer.de/album/teched2004/FrameSet.htm) you can find my photo shots from TechEd. There are also some photos of your performance. BTW: That haircut fits you very well :-))

I went to your sessino on the thursday and I came out thinking I know nothing, I will give up coding and go tend bar, compared to when I came out of Rob Howards sessions thinking yeh Im cool I know what Im doing.

I write toys. Still you've given me loads to think about, Im certainly going to write that cache reaping technique and pour over the Powerpoint notes when they are released and try and understand the whole enterprise services thing (and proseware when MS release it).

I nearly died laughing when you walked on stage, especially as only a year ago I looked just like that, and I felt kind of ashamed when the phrases coming out of your mouth were too close for comfort.

The best thing was I get it now, I've been hearing SOA this SOA that for ages and focusing on the technologies and not understanding the fundementals. Thanks to "The Nerd, The Suit, and The Fortune Teller" session I understand what SOA is trying to acheive. Stranglely enough what SOA is, is what I was doing 8 years ago when I had to connect the various unix, informix, cobol, vb systems together, that OO design helped me forget.

Thanks for two of the most enjoyable and educational sessions of TechEd for me.

Those sessions about:
- state management and resource management
- transactions

Really punched me in the face and said HEY DIVE DEEPER IN THE TECHNOLOGY
(yeah yeah I also saw the nerdy scene ;-) Have some pics but from to far back in the room 10row small camera you get the idea).

What I was wondering, you showed a puzzle game for explaining the transactional session. I was wondering where I could find the code to dive into it. You said it would be around somewhere on your blog but I'm overlooking it.

PS Thnkx for opening my eyes

Hi Clemens

Just want to let you know, that after TechEd you have now placed yourselves over Rafel, as the best speaker I know.... and that is way beyond Don Box.

The stuff you presented in the state management and transaction session at TechEd, has made me go home and start reading... a lot, because I realised that... I know notning.
